After completing my first formal interview, I searched through the transcript to find some key words and phrases that seemed important. After finding these key words, I was asked to put them into a poem, so, without over-thinking, I came up with a short, simple poem that incorporates the key information I learned from the interview.

ReplyDeleteWhat came across my mind as I was reading your poem was that the cafe seems like a relaxing place where people can be themselves. Even though that might be being antisocial or lazy or whatever but hey people are all different. The cafe just seems to expose it. I like how you structured your poem, short sweet and to the point. Keep up the great thoughtful posts!
I love that there are no phrases in your poem, that it's all random words!
ReplyDeleteI feel like this is a poem that could be used at an open mic night that are held in the cafe. Go figure. Like Nick said, it shows a very relaxed environment where everyones just like "iIm doing what I need to do you and you're doing you own thing too. Whatever, we're both happy" I really like it because the few words you use definitely allow me to imagine the cafe in my head!
ReplyDeleteI thought that it was interesting that your informant used a couple of nice words to explain the cafe but for the most part it seemed like he didn't really have that many good things to say about it or the people in it.
ReplyDeleteI like how you organized your poem into categories. There's the descriptive stanza, the food stanza, the names stanza, and so on. I feel that this helped me see the cafe in stages, to discover the area, then taste the food, and then talk with cat guy, and just hang around. I love it!
